William W. Gerrans was born and reared in Kinston. he was admitted to the bar in 1982. He is licensed to practice law in all the State Courts in North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is a graduate of The University of North Carolina (B.S.B.A., 1979; J.D., 1982). From 1982 until 1990 Mr. Gerrans practiced with his uncle, C.E. (Jack) Gerrans. Mr. Gerrans is a member and Past President of the Lenoir County Bar Association and a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Association, the Eastern North Carolina Inn of Court and the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr Gerrans attended Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College in 1999. He practices in the areas of general real estate, personal injury, civil litigation., felony criminal defense, traffic violation, and probate.
